Valley Press is currently open for submissions, but hurry – this year's window closes on 31st January at 11pm GMT. We are seeking fiction, non-fiction and poetry, with literary merit and the potential for wide general appeal. Work should be of a length to be published on its own; enough for at least 36 printed pages (so no individual poems or short stories, please).

Important note: submissions are open only to customers who have made a purchase through this website since September 2025. If you don't currently fit into this category, you may like to browse our catalogue here.

How to submit

Please send all entries via email to submissions@valleypressuk.com. Attach a file including as much of the text of your book as you are willing to share, in whatever file format you prefer. In the body of the email, please include:

1. The order number from your qualifying purchase (four digits, starting with 1).
2. The title of your book and your author name (actual or pseudonym, as preferred).
3. Your book's genre and current word count.
4. A paragraph explaining what your book is about.
5. A paragraph of highlights from your writing career so far (if applicable).
6. A note on the ideal audience for your book, and where we might find them.

We will write back to you quickly to confirm receipt of your submission, and during March 2026 with our final decision. You are allowed to submit the same work elsewhere during this time. Good luck!

Consultancy
