Valley Press is currently closed for submissions. We read new unsolicited work in a month-long window roughly once every two years. The most recent window was in January 2026, and we are still working our way through all the wonderful proposals received during that month, trying to narrow them down to a maximum of three final selections. We hope to inform all authors of our decision within the next few weeks.

Consultancy

Outside of our submissions windows, we offer a consultancy service – a 90-minute meeting with our Director and Founder Jamie McGarry, via phone, video call, or in person for those able to visit us in sunny Scarborough (or cover travel costs).
