Valley Press is currently closed for submissions. We read new unsolicited work in a month-long window roughly once every two years. The most recent window was in January 2026, and we are still working our way through all the wonderful proposals received during that month, trying to narrow them down to a maximum of six final selections. We hope to inform all authors of our decision by the end of March.

Outside of the windows, we offer a consultancy service (£75), in which Valley Press Publisher Jamie McGarry will read your work and any accompanying material for around 20 minutes, then discuss the best strategy to achieve your publishing goals in a meeting of 40 minutes.
