About the Author
Carole Bromley is a York-based poet, teacher and editor. She has published three collections with Smith Doorstop: A Guided Tour of the Ice House (2011), The Stonegate Devil (2015) and Blast Off!, a collection for children (2017). Carole is an Arvon tutor, a mentor for the Poetry Society, and a judge of many competitions. When not writing or teaching she loves walking and spending time with family – including her husband, four children and thirteen grandchildren. Carole has been widely published in magazines and anthologies and has a won a number of prizes, including the 2019 Hamish Canham Award.
