York Literary Review is an annual creative writing anthology from York St John University, designed to showcase diverse work from talented writers.
Since its inception in 2016, the review has featured trailblazing fiction, non-fiction and poetry, selected by students on YSJ's MA Publishing course, and with a gentle focus on showcasing the work of Northern talent – but accepting (and receiving) submissions from every corner of the world.

York Centre for Writing is a hub at York St John University, home to a number of writing events, projects and publications in collaboration with York Literature Festival and other community partners. The Centre curates two annual print publications, both published by Valley Press and providing commissioning, editing and publishing experience to undergraduate and postgraduate students: Beyond the Walls, an anthology of writing by students, and the York Literary Review, an international creative writing journal.
